ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated: October 15, 2026

‍

Our commitment

‍

The web should work for everyone, whatever their abilities, devices, or circumstances. Cafio builds websites for a living, so we hold our own site to the standard we hope our clients will aim for. We want people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities to be able to find us, understand what we do, and get in touch.

‍

What we aim for

‍

Our aim is the most accessible site we can build. We care about the people who use it, including people with disabilities, and we want it to work well for them. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as a benchmark and try to go further wherever we can. We do not claim the Site fully meets every guideline on every page today, and we know perfect accessibility for every person and every disability is hard for any organization. We welcome feedback and use it to keep improving.

‍

What we do

‍

We work toward accessibility in how we design and build the Site. We try to apply practices like these, though not every page will reflect all of them:

  • Clear headings and page structure, so assistive technology can navigate it.
  • Keyboard access to links, buttons, and forms.
  • Readable text size and strong color contrast.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Labeled form fields and understandable error messages.
  • Captions or transcripts for video and audio where we can provide them.
  • Restraint with motion, and reduced-motion options where we can.

We check our work where we can, and we fix issues as we find them or as people report them.

‍

Known limitations

‍

Some parts of the Site may be harder to use than we would like:

  • Animation and interactive demos. We use motion, 3D, and other interactive features to show what modern web technology can do. These can be difficult for some users, and some may not work fully with assistive technology. We aim to provide a simpler path to the same information.
  • Third-party content. Embedded tools such as maps, video players, review widgets, schedulers, and chat are built and maintained by others. We cannot fully control their accessibility, though we raise issues with providers when we can.
  • Older content and documents. Some earlier pages, PDFs, and videos may not yet meet our goal.
  • Newly added content. New pages, images, and videos can go live before everything is finished. For example, alt text or captions may be added after launch. We work to close those gaps quickly.

If any of these stands in your way, please tell us. We gladly accept feedback.

‍

Tell us what is not working

‍

If you hit a barrier or want something in another format, contact us:

  • Email: hello@cafio.com
  • Phone: 801-477-5211

It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. You do not need to describe your disability. We aim to reply as soon as we can.

‍

Accommodations

‍

We will make reasonable efforts to give you the information or service you need in a way that works for you. That may mean sending content in a different format, walking you through a form by phone or email, or setting up a call or meeting in a way that suits you. We cannot promise every request can be met in every form, but we will work with you in good faith and tell you what we can do.

‍

Client websites

‍

We bring the same mindset to the websites we build for clients, and we are glad to discuss accessibility goals at the start of a project. What is included in any project is set out in that client’s agreement with us.

‍

Keeping this current

‍

We will update this statement as the Site changes and as we learn from your feedback. We welcome people of every background, ability, and perspective, and we want the Site to reflect that.
